David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A representative for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was made after an inquiry regarding reports of conduct deemed unsuitable towards young women.
The company declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies globally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works in total, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
